UPDATE!!!

So... A lot of things have been going on. First, I recently was part of a fashion show at Sound Board in Motor City Casino. I wanted to wait until I received all the pictures from the show but I decided to just post a few things now and will post all of them later. It was so exciting! I met a lot of new people and have a few new opportunities to expand Parker Couture. Other than that, I have been making some website updates and made some new accessories. Check out some of the photos below of the show as well as here. For photos of some of the new accessories click here.

Grammys... and Why I think people are taking things too far.

So... I missed the Grammys, which I didn't really mind. I did watch Fashion Police to watch the all the Grammy fashion though. I can officially say that I am over it. I was sort of disappointed. Is it me or is it that people are trying to hard. For all those who don't know me, I'm all for the drama and extravagance. But I do think that people are pushing it. Not in the cool way but in the you are trying to hard way. Here are a few examples...

Nicki Minaj
Too much! I don't see anything really cool or any meaning in this. I know that it is straight off the runway but come on. Its like everyone had to step their weird up after Lady Gaga to matter. She was not like that at first. She was better when she was her. She was still different but not lame.
On to Ms. Gaga herself. I once use love her. I loved her individuality and craziness now its just rather uncomfortable. Like why are you in an egg? I get the possible meanings behind it but I just thought it was extreme. I think she is really trying to push the envelope but not just doing it naturally.
Well Katy Perry. I think this is more lame than trying to hard. Well it is trying to hard too. Just not very cool. The wings are sort of stupid.

On to the ones I like!

Monica was one of my favs. I love that it was simply black but added the drama with the power shoulder and train in the back. Loved it!
I'm okay with Keri Hilson's dress. It wasn't that bad. It was edgy but not over the top. I do like the color and the detailing. It was just okay though.
Jenna Ushkowitz's dress was cool to me. It had some mixed reviews but I liked it. I would wear it. I think its another good example of being edgy but not corny or obnoxious.
I think this was another one of my favorites. I thought the dress itself was pretty and detailed. I like the color and the choice of shoes, which were pink. I think that she is gorgeous.
Well thats about it. That is just my quick overview. People let it go and just be you. If you don't typically go places in an egg don't do it any other time....

Update!!!

So... I have been slacking. But now that I am back to work, some great things have been going on. Parker Couture in officially in a boutique! The fabulous Iklektikk Boutique in Downtown Royal Oak! Currently there are just a few accessories there. Next, I have designed a few posters to place around town. The pictures are from the A&D Collection I did with stylist Diontae Orr. I will continually update my blog. I've been so busy lately...
